Fishing Report

I was fishing the Yough Dam today 9/11/11 and had some good action. Fishing seems to be picking up a bit. This morning I caught a few rock bass and couple of blue gills but also got into some perch. I landed a half a dozen of them and keep two that looked like Lake Erie perch, 12 to 15 inches. The highlight of the morning was landing a Walleye 20 inches long. Wow was I excited. Looking to join your club. Love those Walleyes!

boating accident

Anyone who fished the charity walleye/bass open tournament in late June probably recalls seeing this boat, or certainly at least hearing it. In the parking lots afterwards, another fisherman commented "I can't believe they let him on here, he's going to kill someone. He's doing at least 80-90"

Fortunately that somebody was himself and not some innocent, random boater. Sad news though. I wish his family my symapthy.

April's Tournament

Looks like Sat April 16th the MD Bassers will be after the eyes all over the lake and on Sunday April 17th they will be after the Bass. Will be busy on the Lake.

Anyone know of a good lake map of Deep Creek? Can not find anything on line other than Bill's Outdoor World, and $7.00 DNR map.

YWA has received 2 more spots for Cabela's NTC

Hey all,

The club has received 2 more spots from Cabela's for the NTC to bring the total to 7. They will be brought up at tonight's meeting and members will be called in the order of finish in the Angler of the Year points from last year.
